Deputy General Manager

As a Deputy General Manager - Purchase, you will be responsible for leading the procurement operations across the organization. Your role will involve strategic planning, vendor management, cost optimization, and ensuring the seamless acquisition of materials and services. This position requires excellent leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills to drive efficiency and ensure compliance with procurement policies. Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement: • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals. • Forecast procurement needs and establish efficient sourcing plans for goods and services. • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure smooth operations. Vendor Management: • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers. • Oversee vendor evaluation, selection, and onboarding processes. • Negotiate contracts to achieve the best terms, including pricing, delivery, and quality. Cost Optimization: • Monitor market trends to identify cost -saving opportunities without compromising quality. • Analyze procurement data to recommend cost -effective sourcing strategies. • Ensure adherence to budgets and identify areas for cost control and reduction. Team Leadership: • Lead and mentor the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives. • Allocate responsibilities, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance reviews. • Foster a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and accountability within the team. Compliance and Documentation: • Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies. • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, vendor contracts, and inventory. • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement metrics and performance to senior management. Coordination and Collaboration: • Work closely with other departments to understand procurement requirements and timelines. • Coordinate with finance to ensure timely payments and budgeting accuracy. • Ensure seamless communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders to meet operational needs. Process Improvement: • Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency. • Implement automation tools and systems for streamlined operations and better reporting. Requirements Requirements Educational Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • Master's degree or certification in Procurement/Supply Chain (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is preferred. Experience: • 8 -12 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. • Proven track record of managing large -scale procurement operations, preferably in the aviation or infrastructure sectors.
