About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, ensuring design accuracy, and supporting product documentation. Proficiency in CATIA is a mandatory requirement. This role requires a strong background in mechanical design, preferably within the automotive industry, and the ability to work in a shift basis environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Modeling: Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components and assemblies using CATIA and other CAD software.
  • Documentation & Analysis: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for design projects, ensuring all necessary files and records are accurately kept.
  • Technical Interpretation: Interpret complex technical documents, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and engineering drawings.
  • Engineering Knowledge: Apply knowledge of DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Design Hand calculations, and various material processes (Sheet metal, Plastic, Casting) to product design.
  • Benchmarking: Conduct BMC (Benchmarking) activities to compare technical know-how with competitor products and identify areas for improvement.
  • Project Management: Ensure all design deliverables are met within stipulated deadlines and manage time effectively, especially while working in a shift basis.
  • Team & Communication: Act as a Team Player and mentor, providing guidance to junior engineers on work-related tasks.
