Position Overview:
We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager with minimum 5 years of proven experience in selling SMC GRP / FRP / Panel Type Water Tanks or related water storage and building infrastructure products.
The ideal candidate should be self-driven, result-oriented, and capable of generating leads and enquiries from Day One. This role demands strong networking, business development, and approval-handling capabilities across both government and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Lead Generation:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in infrastructure, real estate, industrial, and institutional sectors.
- Generate sales enquiries, qualify prospects, and convert leads into orders from day one.
- Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share and customer base.
- Approval & Vendor Registration Management:
- Apply for and obtain product approvals with government departments, public sector undertakings, municipal corporations, builders, and consultants.
- Manage documentation and technical submissions for vendor registrations and empanelments.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, builders, and project procurement teams.
- Provide technical presentations and support for project design and tendering stages.
- Market Intelligence:
- Keep track of competitor products, pricing, and market trends.
- Suggest product positioning and promotional strategies based on field feedback.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in selling SMC GRP / FRP Water Tanks or similar industrial / building material products.
- Proven Track Record: Must be capable of generating sales enquiries and closing deals independently.
- Knowledge: Familiar with government tendering procedures, consultant approvals, and industrial client registrations.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong relationship-building and networking ability.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and result-driven approach.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering / Business Administration / Marketing (preferred but not mandatory).
- Location: Willingness to travel for business development.
