Job DescriptionWork closely with VFX Supervisors and Leads to determine best approach for LD and lighting and develop final look in shot development.ResponsibilitiesNeed to have in depth knowledge of color space and passes.Work with other TDs, art directors to create photo-real Lighting.Accurately interpret concept art and design from the Art DepartmentUse and understand 3D / 2D applications such as Houdini, Maya, and NukeProvide input regarding tools and interfaces to improve throughputProducing a final overall look that far exceeds client expectationsQualificationsAt least 5+ years of feature film production experience working with Houdini and/or MayaExperience lighting and rendering with Arnold, Mantra,and V-Ray.Ability to script in Python and Hscript.Ability to quickly master proprietary effects tools and pipeline toolsAbility to design, self-direct, and organize your workKnowledge of Houdini - Solaris would be an add-on.Strong communication skills and must be able to work well within a teamExercise a high level of focus and skill in a fast-paced production environmentAbility to perform visual and analytical problem-solvingStrong demo reel and/or portfolio in realistic LD and lighting.
