Sms Lab Chemist

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct chemical analysis of raw materials (HMS, sponge iron), molten metal, and finished MS billets.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment such as spectrometers, carbon-sulfur analyzers, and other analytical tools.
- Monitor and record results accurately in lab registers or digital systems.
- Ensure timely reporting of results to the production and quality control teams.
- Assist in calibrating lab instruments and ensuring compliance with internal lab protocols.
- Follow safety, environmental, and quality standards as per company policy.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the laboratory.
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or Diploma in Metallurgy or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience in a steel plant laboratory, preferably in SMS or Billet manufacturing setup.
- Working knowledge of spectrometer analysis and wet chemistry methods.
- Good understanding of steel grades, composition ranges, and quality norms.
- Basic computer skills for report entry and analysis.
- Attention to detail, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
