**SHIKSHA Initiative** under Shiv Nadar Foundation (started in 2012 to eradicate illiteracy from Uttar Pradesh by creating a model which is easily replicable, scalable and measurable) is working with government schools in Uttar Pradesh with an aim to improve educational standards/learning outcome. Various interventions in this direction are being carried out including ICT content based on the current UPSERT curriculum and tactfully making it more inclusive and interesting for the students.

**About the Project**:
Recently, SHIKSHA Initiative has strategically extended the secondary section of the schools via **Samriddhi Project**. In this project, the main stakeholders will be girls of standards 6 to 12 in two GGICs of Uttar Pradesh (primarily as a pilot). Through this intervention we plan to work with students, teachers & parents; thereby reducing absenteeism, and dropouts and increasing learning engagement by working on their academic and life skill enhancement.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Tracking and communicating students’ advancement throughout the course.
- Planning lessons and activities that facilitate students’ acquisition of basic and advanced computer skills.
- Ensuring timely completion of syllabus.
- Need to ensure retention of knowledge and conduct periodic assessment to evaluate the proficiency.
- Invigilating and grading projects, quizzes, and examinations.
- Instructing in a manner that develops students’ confidence in their abilities.
- Guiding and boosting student’s confidence.
- Encouraging healthy classroom behavior and maintaining an orderly environment.
- Conducting Theory as well as practical sessions.
- Evaluating, grading projects/examinations and tracking student progress.
- Need to ensure the upkeep of the Lab and Computer Hardware.
- Need to handle maintenance and troubleshooting of Hardware and Software in the lab.
- Installation of OS and required tools and Applications on user devices.
- Any additional tasks will be assigned as per the work requirement.

**Educational Qualification**:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field / Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications from a reputed institute. A certificate in Computer Technology Teacher Training course is desirable.

**Key Skills and Requirements**:

- Need to have knowledge on hardware and its installation with OS and Tools and Applications.
- Knowledge on any ICT or Ed Tech tool is preferred.
- Strong Knowledge of Basic computer and programing fundamentals.
- Knowledge on OOPS, RDBMS, Programing languages C, C++, JAVA,.NET, Python, MySQL is must.
- Knowledge on tools like Scratch to teach fundamental Programing is desirable.
- Excellent presentation and speaking skills.
- Knowledge on developing Android Application and ASP, Servlet/Server side Scripting, JQuery, Angular, JavaScript will be preferred to teach in higher grades.
- Ability to troubleshoot and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively.

**Experience**: Previous work experience of minimum two years as a Computer Teacher in elementary middle or high school or a similar experience in Education Industry.

**Salary**: as per the experience/negotiable
