**Field Testing Operations - Trainee**

**POSITION PURPOSE**:
Mechanization is a vital requirement for delivering high quality data to support Precision Breeding. Success of our mechanization effort in India is highly depends on the keeping our equipment fleet healthy and good working condition all year round. With 3 over lapping seasons, wide geography to cover, growing equipment fleet and a big FT team to support on ground, the equipment team should be equipped with highly engage and technically skilled members.

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for general safety of operation in the equipment hub
- Manage day-to-day operation and activities in the equipment hub
- Ensure equipment readiness based on set timelines
- Manage and ensure availability of spare parts inventory
- Responsible for developing yearly budget forecast for equipment spare parts and other equipment hub requirements
- Collaborate with RTL and TOMs in developing planting harvest machine deployment plan
- Ensure timely dispatch of machines based on plans

**WHO YOU ARE**:

- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
- Have good experience working with Agricultural machineries customized for research
- Able to make machine setting adjustments on-site and remotely.
- Able to work extended hours during peak operational seasons (including extended hours with the potential of limited overnight travel);
- Able to contribute to a rotating on-call schedule (including weekends and holidays as needed);
- Able to travel independently domestically.

**Kindly note: This position is on Fixed Term Contract(FTC) for 12 months on the roles of Bayer CropScience Limited.**
