**Expert: SAP MDG-F
The Application Consultant for the MDG-F module acts as E2E responsible for the Finance domain to provide state of the art master data solutions. This includes the implementation of appropriate systems enhancements following established processes to meet customer requirements. The Application Consultant will interact with our Business facing Master Data organization to plan, prepare, execute and monitor projects as well as individual Change Requests. This will be done by leveraging technical skills provided by external partners.

In this role we require an excellent knowledge of the MDG-F module combined with a good understanding of associated financial business processes in connected ERP systems. Thus he/she should be in the position to consult business partners to find suitable and sustainable solutions meeting customer demands.

Service Performance Monitoring of the Application Managed Services provided by our strategic partners belongs to the role to meet the agreed KPIs. This includes periodic reviews and the use of defined processes to hand over new services.

At Merck MDG is connected to all relevant ERP systems to centrally create, change, and distribute, or to consolidate master data across the complete enterprise system landscape. The integration of all those components and the participation in architecture design decisions is also part of this position.

**Responsibilities**

**Change and Release Management**
- Secure Change Management processes in line with relevant SOPs
- Ensure complete and accurate handover documents created prior to production release
- Should have Managing the development and deployment of deliverables into production environments

**Project Delivery**
- Provide functional/technical support to project teams
- Provide the technical input for defining and maintaining the development standard and guidelines.
- Must have an E2E implementation project experience of SAP MDG solution for Financial master (e.g., cost centers, profit centers, GL Accounts) and Customer/Supplier/Material.
- Hands-on experience on adding custom fields/Custom Entities in MDG-F UI.
- Experience in development of Custom Data Model will be an added advantage.
- Must have Hands-on experience in SAP MDG projects, performing MDG Configurations in areas like Data Modeling, UI Modeling, Process Modeling, Data Replication Framework, Key Mapping, Validation and Derivations, BRF+.
- Hands-on Experience on MDG UI configuration, UI enhancements, context-based adaptation, along with knowledge in WebDynpro and Floor Plan Manager.
- Hands-on experience in process modelling configuration (Business Activity, Change Request type, Workflow, Rule Based Workflow BRF+).
- Ability to work on migration of existing master data into MDG hub, validations and derivations using BADIs and BRF+.
- SAP / third
- party services using webservices/IDOCs/RFCS.

**Education/Professional Experience**
- Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences and/or Business Administration
- Minimum 8-years experience in SAP domain 5-years of relevant experience in MDG domain as techno functional expert

**Languages**
- English mandatory (written and spoken) An additional language (German) is an asset

**Skills & Competencies**
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong understanding of SAP MDG focusing on the Finance domain (MDG-F concepts G/L accounts, profit center, cost center; cost elements)
- Ability to customize/review MDG-F configuration and to create corresponding technical specification; MDG concepts (Data modelling, BRF+, ALE, Web Services, etc.)
- Good understanding in ABAP (programs, function modules, enhancements) debugging capabilities
- Knowledge in SOA and IDoc replication Good ERP domain knowledge in FI/CO
