1- Category Buyers will be responsible for execution of the Category Strategies for respective category / sub-category through completing purchasing process and ensuring contract closures with accurate documentation.- 2- Specific requirements include but are not limited to:
- i- Ensure comprehensiveness of MR / MTO / SR.- ii- Follow and execute the category strategy for the sourcing of items and develop RFQs.- iii- Execute order as per agreed rate agreements and manage emergency procurement.- iv- Record Commercial Bid clarifications and support technical team on queries / deviations received from suppliers and ensure timely resolution, implementing relevant value improvement levers.- v- Support Lead Buyer and Category Manager in conducting negotiations with suppliers and liaising with suppliers during source to contract.- vi- Prepare Commercial Bid Evaluation (CBE), Note For Approval (NFA), Procurement Change Note (PCN), Supplier Evaluations with Strategic Key points and other commercial documents.- vii- Timely placement of purchase orders / work orders / amendments as per project schedule and ensure release to suppliers.- viii- Provide support to Lead Buyers / Category Managers in developing Frame agreements and rate contracts.- ix- Recommend relevant, category / sub-category specific supplier development activities to Lead Buyers.- x- Record and provide support to address supplier grievances.- xi- Timely documentation and record keeping post completion of RFX processes to facilitate audits.- xii- Manage internal / external / cross-functional communication between SCM, QA/QC, PMT, Engineering, Vendors, etc.
