**Radiopharmaceutical Handling**:

- Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients in accordance with safety protocols.
- Ensure proper dosage, timing, and documentation of radiopharmaceuticals.
- **Imaging Procedures**:

- Conduct nuclear imaging procedures including PET, SPECT, and planar imaging.
- Assist in hybrid imaging techniques (e.g., PET/CT, SPECT/CT) used for tumor localization and therapy planning.
- Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- **Oncology-Specific Applications**:

- Perform functional imaging to detect primary and metastatic cancer.
- Assist in dosimetry calculations and monitoring during radionuclide therapy (e.g., I-131, Lu-177, Y-90 treatments).
- Collaborate with oncologists and radiologists to support personalized cancer treatment plans.
- **Patient Care and Safety**:

- Educate and prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures.
- Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions.
- Practice radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.
- **Quality Control and Compliance**:

- Calibrate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment.
- Perform quality assurance checks on imaging systems and radiopharmaceuticals.
- Comply with hospital policies, radiation safety regulations, and accreditation standards.
- **Record Keeping and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate patient records, dose logs, and procedure documentation.
- Ensure timely communication of imaging results to medical staff.
