**Job Overview**:
As a Transportation Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative and aesthetically appealing designs for various modes of transportation, including automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, and public transportation vehicles. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and marketers, to ensure that the designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Conceptualization and Ideation**:

- Generate creative and original design concepts for vehicles and transportation products.
- Stay updated on design trends, technological advancements, and user preferences in the transportation industry.
- **Sketching and Rendering**:

- Produce hand sketches, digital illustrations, and 3D renderings to visualize design concepts.
- Communicate design ideas effectively through visual representations.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, to ensure that designs are technically feasible and meet performance requirements.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to understand customer needs and market trends.
- **Prototyping and Model Making**:

- Create physical prototypes or scale models to evaluate the ergonomics, aesthetics, and functionality of designs.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback from prototyping and testing phases.
- **Materials and Manufacturing Knowledge**:

- Stay informed about the latest materials and manufacturing processes relevant to the transportation industry.
- Consider cost implications and feasibility of materials and manufacturing methods in the design process.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure that designs comply with safety and regulatory standards applicable to the transportation industry.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to address any compliance issues.
- **Documentation**:

- Prepare detailed design documentation, including technical drawings and specifications, to guide the manufacturing process.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in transportation design, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, Alias, or other relevant tools.
- Strong sketching and rendering skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in the transportation industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
