**Job Title**: Cafe Steward

A **Cafe Steward** plays an essential role in ensuring smooth cafe operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and supporting customer service as needed. This position requires a detail-oriented, friendly individual who can keep up in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to creating a welcoming, clean atmosphere for customers.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Cleaning and Maintenance**:

- Keep the dining area, kitchen, and service areas clean and organized.
- Clear and sanitize tables, chairs, and other surfaces regularly.
- Wash and store dishes, glassware, and utensils, ensuring they’re spotless and ready for use.
- Take out the trash and manage recycling, ensuring waste areas are tidy.

2. **Food Preparation Assistance**:

- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks as needed.
- Help organize and restock ingredients and supplies in the kitchen.
- Ensure food safety standards are met, including proper storage and handling.

3. **Customer Service Support**:

- Support the cafe team during peak hours by clearing tables quickly to accommodate new customers.
- Provide friendly and attentive assistance to customers, directing them to other staff as necessary.
- Refill self-service areas (napkins, condiments, etc.) and respond to customer needs.

4. **Inventory and Stocking**:

- Monitor supplies, such as cleaning materials and kitchen basics, notifying management when restocking is needed.
- Organize storage areas for easy access by staff.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality role is a plus, but not required.
- **Skills**: Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and teamwork.
- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- **Availability**: Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

**Working Conditions**:
This position often requires standing for long periods, lifting items, and working in a warm kitchen environment. The steward may occasionally work directly with customers, so a friendly demeanor and professional appearance are important.

The **Cafe Steward** is a vital part of the team, helping to create an enjoyable and inviting experience for all cafe guests.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
