Business Controller for Cement Division_
As a Business Controller, you will become a valued sparring partner to the management team of the newly established organization for Cement Service.
You will be the financial focal point for business activities in the new Cluster set up and will have a high degree of exposure to senior management in Cement Service.
By providing advice to and challenging the Cluster head as well as the country leads, you will help drive and impact performance - owning the full Industry Business Result of the Cluster.
You will facilitate decision-making by creating transparency and financial insights and drive and facilitate the performance dialogues to improve margins and initiate corrective actions, in line with the go to market strategy.
You will identify risks and opportunities and report them timely, suggesting ways to mitigate losses. Your job will be to ensure transparency to the past, and line of sight to expected business development.
You will report to the Head of Finance for Cement Service and work in truly global team with other Business Partners supporting different geographies. The function is forward-looking and will create value by improving the quality of decisions and working closely together to drive priorities.
**Responsibilities**:
- Business review, management reporting and business controlling_
- Standardize and govern the monthly and quarterly management reporting
- Drive the monthly business reviews from input to presentation, ensuring financial update and business insights are accurate and forward-looking - creating global outlook and understand market deviations and trends
- Be a key driver in the development of tools for data management, analysis, and reporting/dashboards
- Securing transparency of financials on selected business areas. Leading the effort of transforming business information into meaningful, usable and actionable reporting for each member of the leadership team
- Financial planning_
- Drive rolling forecast and budget processes - in alignment with the rest of the Cement finance team.
- Together with the FP&A team, build and improve financial and commercial forecasting and scenario building
- Be able to drive business insights and identify gaps in financial performance, prepare and present plans for corrective action.
- Preparation of forward looking analysis, having and understanding of actual performance to steer business development
- Business partnering - driving decisions and corrective actions_
- Engaging with senior business stakeholders presenting business reviews, ad hoc analysis and providing analytical support to business.
- Perform financial deep dives, improve transparency and develop models for business steering and strategy support for the Cluster leadership team
- Drive cross functional and ad-hoc projects, analyses and tasks - focus on strategic improvement initiatives
- Proactively suggest remedies when relevant risks occur during the service execution
- Proactively inform stakeholders impacted by business performance
What you bring
- You have the confidence to challenge the Service organization when reviewing performance, budgets and forecasts
- You are detail-oriented, interested in and able to dig into our systems and process
- You are creative and seek out suitable sources of information to ensure a well-rounded view of the business performance, past and future
- You are patient and able to “roll with” the challenges of a fragmented system landscape
- You are accustomed to working in a matrix organization, and enjoy collaborating with colleagues around the world
- Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint are a requirement. Experience from working with business intelligence systems is an advantage.
- You are characterized as a strong analytical hands-on-person and thrive with multiple tasks and challenges at hand.
- You hold a certain level of robustness and thrive in influencing and challenging senior stakeholders across the business and Finance functions.
- Excellent communication skills and mastering the discipline of presenting data in a clear and concise manner is a must.
- You hold a master’s degree in finance, economics, MBA or equivalent.
