**Commercial Account Executive**

**Based: India, (Mumbai/Pune)**

EDB seeks an Commercial Account Executive (CAE) who will develop pipeline and close new business in the sales territory of India for EDB's commercial segment. The commercial segment is defined as accounts that have less than $1 billion in annual revenue - but this adjusts for different regions and territories. The CAE will be accountable for closing business that originates from the inbound marketing funnel, outbound prospecting, and assigned accounts. This is a high-energy role that requires exceptional organization, determination, and focus. It is not easy to identify new opportunities across multiple channels, progress qualified pipeline, close new business, and develop strong customer relationships simultaneously. This resource will report to the Director of Inside Sales.

**Responsibilities**

An Inside or commercial Account Executive at EDB gains a trusted rapport with our prospects and target accounts, helps them identify their challenges, and demonstrates how PostgreSQL and EDB can be a solution for their needs.
- Meet and exceed quotas for new annual recurring revenue (assuming you'd like to tap into excellent accelerators)
- Dig deep to understand customer needs, pain points, and requirements
- Qualify and execute against an inbound lead funnel
- Prospect and build demand at target accounts
- Collaborate with SDRs to build pipeline
- Collaborate with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
- Target carrying 3x pipeline coverage of your target
- Exhibit pipeline management and forecasting accuracy
- Learn and grow your knowledge and expertise of PostgreSQL

There are three primary routes to market for the CAE. These include:

- [1] Inbound demand (i.e. marketing and partner generated) from a defined geographic territory
- [2] Proactive engagement at assigned [non-customer] target accounts
- [3] Expansion business from an assigned set of EDB customers from the commercial segment.

**Requirements**:

- Sales and lead development experience
- Successful B2B sales experience (anything over 2-3 years is a plus)
- Experience with or selling in the open source database space a definite plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Highly motivated and goal oriented
- Exhibit maturity and a healthy emotional intelligence
- Exhibit pride in your work
- Need someone local from Mumbai/Pune only.
