**Introduction**:
As a Barclays Quality Engineer you will be working with our product owner to gather testing requirements, test and automate and help us deliver quality product, you will also be responsible for leading automation activities in the project space both from a CI/CD perspective as well QA automation, you will require interacting with Business Analyst, business stakeholders and developers to understand various test cases and you will own the strategy to automate the test cases via suitable test framework

**What will you be doing?**
- Analysing and understanding requirements from business analyst/key stake holders and translate to testing requirements
- Preparing the automation plan/regression suite for every sprint and track progress
- Raising any potential blockers to the scrum master/agile team lead and come up with a mitigation plan
- Capturing testing requirements in JIRA and assist the scrum master in sprint prioritization and retrospectives
- Updating the regression suite based on changing functionality and ensure automated regression is done for every release
- Communicating with key stake holders with regards to timelines, impact for any committed delivery
- Interact with PO and external stakeholders to evaluate business needs and/or data issues & work with the technology team to implement pragmatic solutions in a timely manner
- Actively support release process and address Prod /UAT issues and queries

**What we’re looking for**:

- Strong work Experience in test tools/frameworks like BDD/CICD/DevOPs, TestNG, REST ASSURED, Java/Selenium, Cucumber etc.
- Strong Knowledge in using agile tools e.g. JIRA, Git, Team City, Agile Central.
- Strong knowledge in using Git/Stash for source and version control and Team City/ Nexus for build/deployment.
- Strong work Experience in DevOps, source control, unit and integration testing, continuous integration, release management, and other software development practices.
- Strong work experience in a global Investment Banking environment, with proven tech and delivery skills,
- Ability to identify issues and risks with projects which may impact delivery timelines; and cognizance to escalate issues with vendors/management as required
- Must be able to communicate effectively with business and IT; should have good presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, requirements gathering & documentation methodologies
- Good analytical skills and ability to use them in multiple user and IT environments globally
- Proactive team player with well-developed interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to deal with high stress situations calmly
- Ability to influence developers and stakeholders including those who are not in direct reporting line
