- The Offshore Regulatory Compliance team supports compliance officers across the businesses in carrying out key compliance monitoring, advisory and support activities. The team (Trade Surveillance, Unauthorised Trading, Audio surveillance, E- Communications Surveillance, Enhanced Surveillance &Best Execution Surveillance) will support onshore Compliance offices and the various businesses Globally.

**The Opportunity**:

- The role holder will support execution of Surveillance Strategy across COEs. The incumbent will manage the overall Governance wrt Transition, Deployments, Migrations, Recruitment, Regulatory Issues, MI and Data Management,
- The role holder will support the COE teams in managing the risk an issues across COEs, represent in governance forums and lead a team of individuals involved in the aforementioned deliverables. The role holder is expected to act with a degree of autonomy and foster a close relationship with onshore partners in establishing the team and developing the service management model. Also, keeping abreast of onshore developments and financial market trends will be essential when dealing with internal and external auditors.

**What you’ll do**:

- Creation of central MI workspace within the department. Focus on reducing operations time on regular and ad hoc MI creation.
- Develop a framework and a continuous monitoring cycle to assist surveillance leads for managing the overall Governance of COE.
- Own the overall MI submission for the COE across business lines/regions as per PLA agreement.
- Lead and manage transition of key activities into various COE. Manage end-to-end transition including stakeholder connect, migration support, hiring requirement, and go live
- Manage overall deployments across COE. Hold overall governance in terms of tracking and delivering deployments as per agreed plan.
- Manage the overall Risks & Issues for the department. Ensure continuous tracking and robust control.
- Maintain process, change control and quality documentation standards, ensuring teams operate within these standards
- Lead by example, demonstrating core behaviours and values including teamwork, focus, drive and determination. Stay continuously engaged with the team to optimize their performance, improvement areas and manage attrition. Be a role model for high Regulatory Compliance standards across the teams.
- Ensuring continuous development initiatives
- Proactively plan FTE requirements to manage critical rollouts, implementation and effectively handle recruitment needs, identifying resourcing strategies where appropriate to meet business needs.
- Support relevant Site Leads by participating in planned Leadership and Teamwork GSC initiatives
Requirements

**What you will need to succeed in the role**:

- Provides input into complex report areas and contributes to the development of reports and reporting templates
- Prepares draft reports and minutes of forums
- Drafts Committee charters that consider the governance hierarchy, escalations, delegations and purpose of the committees
- The ability to analyze and present complex information in a clear yet concise written and verbal format is essential;
- An ability to think strategically, with perspective, and demonstrate resilience, is critical;
- Key influencer of innovation to help drive the business forward with its’ demands
- An ability to self-motivate and ‘do the right thing’ is critical;
- An ability to be discreet and trusted with highly sensitive information is critical;
- An ability to act in a pressurized, but supportive environment, is critical;
- Knowledge and implementation of Macros to help automate and streamline BAU reporting processes
- Seasoned problem solving capabilities
- Sound and proven judgment to manage (distribute difficult messages) surveillance issues

**What additional skills will be good to have?**_ _**
- Use of UI/BI interfaces (Qliksense, Qlikview, Tableau, Power BI and other similar interfaces) is desirable
- Programming languages such as Python, VBA, SQL or Java, is desirable
