**Position Title: Kitchen Department (Commis 3 to CDP)**
**Experience: 2 to 4 Years**
**Location: Hyderabad, Telangana**
**Employment Type: Full-Time**
**Role Summary**:
The Kitchen Department team is responsible for ensuring smooth operations, consistent food quality, and adherence to hygiene standards. From assisting in basic food preparation to leading entire kitchen sections, the department contributes directly to guest satisfaction and culinary excellence. Team members progress through various roles—Commis 3, Commis 2, Commis 1, Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP), and Chef de Partie (CDP)—each level carrying greater responsibility, independence, and leadership expectations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist senior chefs with ingredient preparation, chopping, cutting, and organizing kitchen tools.
- Maintain workstation cleanliness and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI/HACCP).
- Store raw materials appropriately with proper labeling and FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation.
- Prepare dishes accurately following recipes, plating guidelines, and portion control standards.
- Ensure mise en place (pre-preparation) is completed before each service period.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels; coordinate with the store or purchase department for replenishment.
- Train and mentor junior team members (Commis 3 and 2) in preparation, hygiene, and service standards.
- Support DCDP/CDP in executing menu items efficiently during busy hours.
- Report wastage, consumption, and daily prep updates to section heads or sous chefs.
- Assist in recipe standardization, innovation, and menu planning discussions.
- Ensure compliance with True Black Coffee’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and kitchen policies.
- Collaborate effectively with the service team for smooth order flow and timely delivery.
**Skills & Attributes**:
- Strong understanding of culinary basics and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of kitchen sections such as grill, bakery, continental, or curry.
- Good knife skills and plating aesthetics.
- Commitment to food hygiene, discipline, and teamwork.
- Time management and ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
- Leadership and mentoring skills (for senior levels).
- Inventory management, portion control, and cost awareness.
- Creative thinking for menu innovation and presentation improvements.
- Effective communication and inter-department coordination skills.
Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹30,118.54 per month
