**Role Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- You will be working and supporting a range of infrastructure schemes to independently develop engineering BIM models and drawings under the relevant standards.
- You will be expected to play a proactive part in the design process.
- You will be contributing to the telecom infrastructure for high-speed rail and to the technologies used in Intelligent Transportation System based projects.
- You will be using ProjectWise, SharePoint, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Navisworks and other engineering BIM software for the production and development of models and drawings.
- You will read and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures for Health and Safety including the H&S Policy, H&S Manual, and Local Procedures Manual.
- You will assist in the development of other colleagues in the team.

**Key Competencies / Skills**
- Ability to utilise ProjectWise, SharePoint, AutoCAD, Civil3D in adherence to defined CAD & BIM standards to develop 3D modelling, layouts, labelling, dimensioning, sheet layout, design details and other appropriate design concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models to assist with investigations of engineering problems.
- Proven ability to work up drawings (plans, sections & details) from Engineers basic sketches to full working drawings.
- Ability to liaise with the design teams as necessary to coordinate design and drawing production.
- Capable of handling multiple responsibilities with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.
- Assists with establishing, maintaining, and enforcing the use of proper CAD standards and procedures.
- Undertake reviews of work produced by others to ensure high quality of CAD output.
- UK project experience on Intelligent Transportation System, High Speed Rail and working knowledge of UK design standard will be preferred.
- You should be able to understand and communicate BIM and CAD standards for use on highway engineering projects and possessing an appropriate overall level of knowledge of the UK infrastructure design sector.
- Proficient in the use of standard MS office software.
- Experience in supervising and coordinating the CAD output of others within a multidisciplinary project environment.
- Commitment to work as part of a design team focused on project delivery.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
