**Job summary**:
In this role, you will be responsible for driving data analysis and strategic insights to support investment decision-making. This role will involve collaborating closely with various teams within the organization to enhance operational efficiency, uncover market opportunities, and improve overall fund performance.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:
**Industry research**:

- Manage a team of business intelligence analysts, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collect industry-specific information to understand the factors that influence it, with adequate support from external sources such as industry experts, trade channels and associations.
- Build industry-level metrics that allow the team to test company performance and confirm predictions.
- Track industry developments on a periodic basis and make detailed presentations to keep the team informed.

**Financial plan validation**:

- Ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information and future projections using industry metrics.
- Analyse trends, patterns, and correlations to derive actionable insights for strategic decision-making
- Highlight assumptions, identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to build a set of financial warning strategies.
- Utilize predictive analytics to identify investment trends and risks.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and visualization of data from various internal and external sources to inform strategic decisions.

**Relationship Management**:

- Develop and maintain relationships with external data providers and analytics partners.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Actively participate in post-investment management discussions to aid accurate evaluation of performance in relation to stated objectives.

**Qualifications, skills and competencies**:

- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, preferably within the financial services or investment management industry.
- Proven experience in managing teams and projects effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data analysis software (e.g., SQL, Python, R) will be an added advantage.
