Redaptive seeks an in-house attorney/counsel in support of the company’s continued growth. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will work directly with all company teams to close transactions in a fast-paced environment, provide guidance with respect to new product and service offerings, advise and train non-legal staff, and manage risk.

**Job Responsibilities**:

- Draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including those related to energy services, consulting, vendors, non-disclosure, financial and other agreements.
- Work as part of the legal team, and cross-functionally with other teams on a variety of commercial matters.
- Work closely with members of the legal, finance and commercial teams to develop scalable processes and procedures.
- Miscellaneous legal projects that arise within the legal team

**Job Requirements / Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years of post-qualification experience working at a law firm and/or in-house in a transactional legal role, with excellent drafting skills.
- Ability to independently review, revise and negotiate with opposing counsel a wide variety of commercial agreements.
- Self-starter, can-do attitude combined with a strong sense of humility, collaborative working style, and ability to perform with little supervision.
- Ability to explain legal concepts to non-attorney in-house clients; and ability to understand and integrate business objectives into coherent and enforceable legal documents.
- Ability to take end to end ownership over legal tasks and perform well under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
- J.D./ L.L.M. degree and licensed to practice law in India and the United States.

**Nice to have**
- Experience with solar, energy services agreements and/or project finance.
- Experience with commercial contracts, real estate, finance, SaaS agreements, and general corporate matters.
- Interest / familiarity with energy, technology, and finance.
- In-house/start-up experience and a strong grasp of transactional risk and mitigation measures.
