Structured hybrid role:
Introduction:
To be support the delivery of audit activity across Barclays UK Digital Platforms providing robust assurance of key processes and platforms that enable digital customer engagement, digital simplification, and automation of customer journeys. Working collaboratively with others in BIA to develop strong independent Auditee relationships and conducting audit activity to provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of business are control environments. Ensuring audits/assignments on a day-to-day basis are completed to a high standard in line with audit methodology and to support delivery of the BUK Audit Plan. This is underpinned by role-modelling the Barclays values in all that we do.

What will you be doing?
- Complete audit planning including documentation of audit-scope, process understanding, risk & control identification, and testing strategies.
- Execute audit fieldwork by evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of controls & document this understanding in the BIA audit toolkit
- Support Audit Owner by writing high-quality issues and recording management’s action plans
- The validation of BIA and regulatory issues closed by the business areas
- Write high quality observations and audit reports (with input from the audit team).
- Proactively take on additional tasks as requested by the VP,BIA Director/Portfolio Manager completing these in line with expectations
- Support citizenship agenda across BIA to contribute positively to the communities we operate in
- Own and drive personal learning to support achievement of career aspirations.
- Through continuous monitoring, keep up to date with risks, issues and changes across relevant business units, and use this knowledge to amend the audit approach where necessary

What we’re looking for:

- Strong experience within audit with extensive experience in risk-based auditing/assurance (Internal or External). Similar experience within other risk and control activities is also appropriate.
- An understanding of good practices in the end to end design of processes, particularly for processes that involve digital customer engagement with an appreciation of customers’ expectations and what would constitute a good outcome from digital processes.
- The ability to explain technical analysis steps to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Team player; strong communications skills, excellent attention to detail

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Experience with delivering, or strong awareness of, data analytics tools and techniques e.g. SQL, Python etc
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP, CIA, MIIA, ACCA, or other relevant technical qualifications)
- Practical understanding of regulatory environment within the UK
