Purchasing Operations Center Buyer

The role of the Purchasing Operations Centre Buyer will manage and execute the transactional purchasing process for products and / or services across the business, including the raising of Purchase orders and undertaking purchasing activities from the request for quotation (RFQ) stage of the purchasing lifecycle through to order fulfilment for non-critical product and / or services. You will provide excellent customer service and act a key interface role between suppliers and purchasing teams.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Supplier Relationships - Where designated, responsible for the effective day to day purchase order processing with partners and suppliers.
- Strategic Sourcing - Responsible for the raising and progressing of purchase orders across designated commodities / categories. Work collaboratively, as part of a highly efficient service delivery team to ensure that all sourcing meet the needs of current and future manufacturing programmes. You will maximize transactional efficiency and quality by the appropriate use of ERP system and e-commerce tools.Where designated, you will organise and execute minor sourcing projects for non-critical products and services, including negotiation of annual price adjustments and change proposals in accordance with agreed sourcing strategies.
- Strategy - Informed of relevant commodity / category strategies and will place purchase orders only with approved and capable suppliers as stipulated within the commodity / category strategies. You will highlight any known capacity / capability bottlenecks and risks to stakeholders.
- Processes and Procedures - Accountable for compliance to company policies, processes and procedures, ensuring all purchasing records and documentations are correct and maintained in line with regulatory requirements. Will support functional audit activities and will be responsible for identifying and recommending process improvements relating to the operation of transactional task(s). Will share best practice across the team(s).

**Key Experiences and any Qualifications**
- Ideally a Graduate (any stream) with around 2-6 years of working experience, preferably in a Procurement/Purchasing Environment
- A good understanding of P2P process and Contract management principles.
- Has a proven track record of delivering results and has experience of working within a service delivery environment.
- Agility to manage a number tasks simultaneously and to prioritize effectively.
- Capable of processing large packages of work at high levels of accuracy.
- Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working
- Strong Customer Focus and ability to manage a wide range of Stakeholder
