Agile Scrum Master - Full time 6-month freelance contract to start with potential option to hire

Looking for experienced Scrum Masters to help a consulting client drive consistent engineering practices across teams. The practices are aligned with Scrum and set up client teams to scale across several hundred teams. Work may include facilitating and helping the team break down Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) into stories, align business analyst roles into product or technical product roles and evolve from time and budget-based planning to more iterative approaches. Our Agile delivery program goals include establishing consistent practices across teams and use of Jira to support greater transparency and predictability.

You will be working with a client IT teams developing Finance, Quote to Cash, Support/Services Delivery and other areas. In addition to working with client teams, you will work with our consulting resources to help evolve and deliver training content or other materials, and provide data to show impact of changes.

**J**ob duties include: *
- Function as a servant leader of 1-3 scrum teams in setting up and managing backlog, including building out roadmaps
- Influence and collaborate with others to monitor simple productivity metrics and drive continuous improvement
- Advocate for transparency, inspection, and adaptation
- Set up working agreements to improve team effectiveness with stakeholders, team members, and other outside teams
- Drive the mindset to create stories that reduce complexity and decouple dependencies to enable the team to build a stable velocity
- Lead daily scrums, sprint reviews, and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement. Manage interdependencies between agile teams.
- Partner with the Product Owners to support short and long-term release planning, and to keep work backlog healthy and prepared for execution.
- Shield the teams from external interference to enable optimal functionality and productivity.
- Drives and helps evolve consistent methodologies and best practices in alignment with the client’s Agile practices in scrum or Kanban
- Evolves training materials tailored to client starting point and delivers to teams and other audiences in the client organization
- Provides individual coaching to delivery team members, managers, and/or leaders
- Actively and regularly participates, and facilitates communities of practice to help foster lean and agile thinking
- Mentors Agile delivery teams, program managers, internal champions, stakeholders and leaders to help them adopt the mindset and practices needed to transform the organization
- Identifying gaps in design artifacts and drive to closure
- Drive and collaborate with other team members to ensure schedules are visible and aligned with IT stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- 7 + years’ experience in practicing Scrum or Kanban across multiple functions
- 7 + years’ experience in coaching Scrum or Kanban with multiple teams
- Consulting background a major plus
- Experience in Salesforce and Oracle or Finance and Quote to Cash systems a plus
- Highly organized and passion for driving transparency
- Track record of supporting scrum teams in large organizations, telecom, technology, or other related fields. Development experience a plus
- Self-starter with ability to navigate conflict and support team accountability
- Knowledge and experience in two or more Agile or Lean frameworks - Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Extreme Programming
- Experience as a Project Manager or Product Manager
- Jira skills/administration capabilities required
- Certified ScrumMaster required (PSM acceptable)
- Coaching certification a plus

**Location requirements**
- **India/Singapore**
- Client resources are spread globally with the bulk of development resources in Singapore and India. Must be willing to work to support globally based team members in their time zone (aka some late nights).
- May need to travel for a few weeks to development hubs (Singapore or India) - TBD and post Covid

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹1,325.00 - ₹1,960.00 per hour
