**Role and Responsibilities**: We are currently seeking a talented SAP MDG H4/HANA Consultant with experience in Azure to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist in establishing and implementing a comprehensive data governance framework. Your responsibilities will include:
Working closely with the client to develop a data governance implementation roadmap and strategic priorities for information-based capabilities
Rolling out a data governance framework to improve data quality and protect sensitive data
Defining roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensuring clear accountability for stewardship of the company's information assets
Acting as a liaison between business and technology to ensure data-related requirements are defined, communicated, and understood
Maintaining an inventory of information maps and authoritative systems owners
Facilitating the development and implementation of data quality and protection standards
Defining performance indicators and ensuring compliance with data-related policies and standards
Leading senior management and resolving escalated data governance issues
Providing progress reports and overseeing updates to the data governance roadmap

A minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance implementation
Experience in implementing data governance frameworks using Azure or MS Purview
Knowledge of industry best practices for setting up data governance frameworks
Expertise in addressing data governance concerns raised by business stakeholders
Experience in implementing Master Data Management tools, specifically using Azure Purview
Ability to analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement
Strong skills in developing functional and technical specifications
Experience in business metadata creation and familiarity with loading business metadata templates
Proficiency in workflow creation in a metadata tool
Prior experience in business case/proposal creation
