**Job Description - Food Technologist**

Position Overview

**Key Responsibilities**
- Food Quality & Standardization
- Assist in developing and standardizing recipes for consistency in taste, texture, and nutrition.
- Conduct sensory evaluation (taste, aroma, texture) of dishes and suggest improvements.

**Food Safety & Compliance**
- Ensure adherence to FSSAI / HACCP / ISO standards in food handling, storage, and preparation.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and sanitation in line with safety protocols.
- Conduct regular checks for raw materials and finished products for quality assurance.

**Process & Innovation**

Assist in introducing new cooking methods, preservation techniques, and kitchen technologies.

**Inventory & Documentation**
- Maintain records of raw material quality, food batch testing, and kitchen compliance reports.
- Track ingredient usage and suggest substitutes to reduce wastage and improve efficiency.
- Assist in setting food production SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

**Team Support & Training**
- Train kitchen staff on food safety, hygiene, and proper handling techniques.
- Support chefs in troubleshooting food quality issues.
- Act as a bridge between culinary creativity and scientific accuracy.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in **Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or Hotel Management (with specialization in Food Production/Technology**).
- Certification in **Food Safety & Hygiene (FSSAI / HACCP) preferred**.
- Prior experience in kitchens, food labs, or food production units is an advantage.
