**Job Discription**:

- Receive and review job orders, drawings or cut-sheets specifying the material type, size, quantity and dimensions to be cut.
- Prepare raw material: select correct stock, inspect for defects, cut to rough sizes, load/unload material.
- Set up the band saw machine: install/replace blade, adjust tension, set guides/stops, select appropriate speed/feed or material setting.
- Operate the machine to cut materials accurately to required dimensions and angles, monitor the machine during operation, ensure quality and conformity with specifications.
- Measure the finished cut pieces using precision measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometers) to verify they meet tolerances.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning: change blades when worn, lubricate machine, remove scrap, ensure machine is safe and clean.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area: keep clean, organized, remove waste/scrap material in accordance with housekeeping/ safety rules.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times; report any hazards or machine malfunctions promptly.
- Assist with material handling and coordination: staging material for further processing, labeling parts, sorting cut pieces per job order, and communicating with team/supervisor.
- Record production data, indicate quantities, defects, and ensure proper documentation for each job/order.

- Reading work orders/blueprints, preparing raw material, performing quality checks, maintaining the machine and ensuring a safe working environment.
