**Job Title**:Cloud SRE Engineer (AVP)

We are setting up our Cloud Center of Excellence to build best practices and automation first approach to drive cloud enabled transformation and support. Our Shared Services SRE function is part of Cloud COE that will run and operate cloud services across all products and service groups. Automation is the core of the SRE function, and the work involves designing, testing and maintenance of Infrastructure as code on public and hybrid cloud including OS, database, network, backup and restore.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Operate Infrastructure as Code on cloud, maintain code repository for infrastructure maintenance, backup/restore and patching.
- Perform day to day system administration activities on Linux/windows on Cloud
- Drive stability in cloud operations using SRE principles
- Foster collaboration build relationships and work hand in hand with Cloud Engineering, Platform SRE, Devops team and other stakeholders to deliver best outcomes.
- Perform day to day maintenance activities on cloud Infrastructure, problem management and change implementation
- Identify problems and use procedures and documentation for best actions, and participate in mitigation/resolution
- Automate repetitive and manual tasks in day to day work to improve maturity and efficiency of operations.
- Drive tools optimization to pro-actively detect anomalies before it affects service
- Ensure knowledge is documented through educational materials such as cloud how-to and best practices. Maintain and improve procedures, processes and documentation relevant to cloud Infrastructure Maintenance

**Your skills and experience**
- L3/L4 level Administration skills on Linux (Redhat/Suse/Debian/Ubuntu) or VMware administration using VRA
- Good understanding of GCP cloud native services
- Good experience with scripting and automation technologies
- Expertise with Cloud native databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL/Cloud Spanner
- Expertise with complex database cloud migrations
- Experience with coding in Terraform on GCP preferred
- Have strong knowledge of SRE principles
- Experience in utilizing CI/CD workflow and cloud management tools.
- Good understanding of network concepts on cloud including VPCs, subnets and firewalls.
- Experience with Cloud Storage technologies, backup and restore
- Certification on a cloud platform, preferably GCP
- Automation skills using ansible will be an added advantage
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and part of multicultural team
- Ability to provide technical leadership in major incident investigation, problem and change management activities
- Educated to bachelor’s degree with 10- 15 years of Experience.
