**Responsibilities**:
We are looking for an AWS Data Engineer to join our team of world-class in-house engineers. As an Data Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data infrastructure solutions to support the organization's data-driven initiatives. We are looking for self-driven and motivated individuals who will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project owners, business analysts to ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of our systems. This role requires expertise in AWS data engineering. We are looking for individuals that are extremely self-sufficient, available to work flexible hours and hold themselves to the highest standards of professionalism.
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load large volumes of data from diverse sources into Data Lake, utilizing AWS services like S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Cloud Formation, EMR, and other database technologies to move data.
- Develops or modifies data models, ETL processes(Spark(pyspark/Scala), Shell scripting, and SQL).
- Ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data by implementing data validation and data cleansing.
- Experience with version control tools like Github/Bitbucket/SVN/other GIT repositories.
- Experience with Agile Scrum Methodology(JIRA).
- Work on necessary new system developments, enhancements and bugs utilizing an agile software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Optimize and fine-tune AWS data processes and systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot AWS data pipelines and data processing jobs.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging data engineering technologies, tools, and best practices, and recommend improvements to existing AWS data infrastructure.
- Having Snowflake experience is a plus.
- What we are Looking for:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
- Atleast 3 years of experience in similar position.
- 2 years of experience with AWS services(including but not limited to ETL, Athena, Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, S3, EMR).
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
