Data & Automation Services (DAS) is a Data Analytics team within Control Management that supports all the consumer-facing businesses within Consumer & Community Banking (CCB). This allows our team members to have exposure to a multitude of business functions and to learn the inner workings of a large segment of the Firm’s functions. We have an expansive network of relationships across the business and interact with all levels in the work that we do.

The Quant Analytics job family blends analytic and translation skills into a hybrid skillset. We use analytic skills, methods and thinking to solve problems, create data that tells a story, provide feedback, and deliver objective insights. We translate between analytic and non-analytic groups as well as facilitate holistic, cross functional learning. Additionally, we must possess the ability to work with and synthesize large amounts of data into actionable analysis and provide a point of view to the Control Management partners that helps them evaluate the effectiveness of the Firm’s control framework. We provide these descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to support the control environment which is a cornerstone for the Firm.

**About the Role**:
As a Quant Analytics Associate in the Data & Automation Services, within Control Management, you will be responsible to mine and analyze large volumes of data and packaging the information to present to key stakeholders for driving decisions

**Job responsibilities**:

- Mining and analyzing large volumes of data and packaging the information to present to key stakeholders for driving decisions
- Elicitation of business requirements and translation into specifications that can be used to implement the intelligent solution
- Using programming skills, pull data from various JPMC data warehouses and create datasets that satisfy the requirements
- Own and manage projects from front to end, engaging with the requestor, business, and developer
- Communicate independently with key stakeholders, manage delivery expectations, and escalate when needed

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Technology (MIS, Comp Science, Bus Analytics), Economics, Business or related discipline
- 3 years of related experience within marketing, finance, or risk analysis; experience evaluating complex business problems, data analysis and devising recommendations
- Working SQL / SAS / Python or R knowledge and experience working with relational databases or a willingness to learn
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- A passion for data analysis, continuous learning, and professional development
- A curious mind that prefers to go deep to understand details
- A positive attitude and team spirit with exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions
