Internship - SEO - Digital Marketing

**THE INTERNSHIP - Digital Marketing Team (Bangalore, India)**

The internship will require assisting the MPOWER’s Digital Marketing team in optimizing website content, conducting keyword research, and implementing SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic to the website. Each intern will be responsible for leading an individual project which will be presented to the Executive team at the end of the internship and will receive mentorship from our leaders.

We are looking for interns who can think creatively and analytically, embrace ambiguity, and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and have a solution-focused mindset driven by making an impact.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Conducting keyword research to identify high-performing and relevant keywords for our industry.
- Assisting in optimization of website content, meta tags, headers, and images for target keywords while implementing best practices for URL structure, internal linking, and mobile optimization.
- Performing website audits to identify and address technical SEO issues such as broken links, 404 errors, and site speed and assisting in implementing technical recommendations for website improvements.
- Conducting competitor analysis to identify opportunities for organic search growth and areas where we can gain a competitive advantage.
- Monitoring and reporting on key SEO performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and SEO software.

**THE QUALIFICATIONS**
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify) and basic HTML/CSS knowledge is preferred
- Previous internship or coursework related to SEO will be a plus
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, AHREFS or similar tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.

A passion for financial inclusion and access to higher education is a must, as well as comfort working with a global team across multiple-time zones and sites

In addition, you should be comfortable working in a fast growth environment, meaning a small agile team, fast-evolving roles and responsibilities, variable workload and tight deadlines, a high degree of autonomy, and 80-20 everything.
