Handball Coach

**Job Summary**:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Handball Coach to join our school’s sports team. The Handball Coach will be responsible for training and developing students in the sport of handball, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness. The coach will design and implement training sessions, manage handball practices, and guide students in improving their technical skills and game strategies. Additionally, the coach will support the students in participating in school competitions and tournaments.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Training & Coaching**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive handball training program that focuses on improving players’ skills, tactics, fitness, and team coordination.
- Organize and conduct regular practice sessions, ensuring that students are practicing the fundamental techniques of handball, including passing, shooting, defense, and teamwork.
- Design training drills and exercises that focus on individual player development as well as team strategies.
- Provide constructive feedback and continuous support to help students improve their handball skills.
- **Team Management**:

- Select and organize school handball teams for various age groups or grade levels.
- Develop team strategies for both offensive and defensive play and ensure players understand their roles within the team.
- Foster a positive team environment that promotes collaboration, discipline, and respect among players.
- Maintain team discipline and ensure the proper conduct of students during practices, games, and other events.
- **Competition & Event Participation**:

- Organize and prepare the team for inter-school handball competitions, tournaments, and friendly matches.
- Ensure the team is prepared both physically and mentally for matches, focusing on sportsmanship and team spirit.
- Attend and manage team participation in school competitions and other sporting events, including logistics such as transportation and equipment.
- **Physical Conditioning**:

- Plan and supervise physical conditioning sessions that improve players' overall fitness, stamina, agility, and strength required for handball.
- Monitor players' physical health and performance to ensure they are in peak condition for competitions.
- **Student Development**:

- Provide mentorship and guidance to players, encouraging personal growth, self-discipline, and resilience through sport.
- Foster the development of leadership skills and a positive mindset among student-athletes.
- Promote healthy lifestyles, teamwork, and fair play both on and off the field.
- **Collaboration with Faculty & Parents**:

- Coordinate with the Physical Education department and other staff members to integrate handball training into the broader school sports program.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding team progress, upcoming events, and any issues related to their child’s performance or behavior.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings or school events as needed to discuss the development of student-athletes.
- **Equipment & Facilities Management**:

- Ensure that all necessary equipment (balls, nets, uniforms, etc.) is available and in good condition for practices and competitions.
- Work with school management to ensure that the sports facilities are maintained and meet the requirements for training and matches.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay updated on the latest handball techniques, strategies, and coaching methods.
- Participate in coaching workshops, seminars, and conferences to improve personal coaching abilities.
- Attend sports-related events to network and learn new coaching techniques that can benefit the students.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education & Certification**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Relevant coaching certification in handball (e.g., National/International Handball Coaching Certification) is preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Previous experience coaching handball at the school or club level is required.
- Experience working with young athletes in a team environment is highly desirable.

**Working Conditions**:

- Part-time or full-time position, depending on the school’s needs and sports schedule.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹33,000.00 per month
