**Role Description**

This is a full-time on-site role for a Data Entry Specialist at askIITians in Delhi, India. The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining information in the company's database systems, assisting with administrative tasks, providing customer service support, and ensuring accurate and efficient data entry processes.

**Qualifications Communication and Customer Service skills**

Typing and Computer Literacy proficiencyExperience in Administrative AssistanceAttention to detail and accuracy in data entryAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectivelyKnowledge of basic office software and toolsStrong organizational and time management skillsPrevious experience in data entry or related field is a plus

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Data Entry and Maintenance**:
○ Enter data accurately and efficiently into databases and systems from various sources, including paper-based and electronic documents.

○ Update and maintain existing data records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

**2. Quality Assurance**:
○ Verify data for errors, inconsistencies, or missing information and correct as necessary.

○ Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational standards.

**3. Documentation and Reporting**:
○ Prepare and maintain documentation related to data entry procedures, guidelines, and protocols.

○ Generate reports and summaries of data entry activities as required by management.

**4. Data Security and Confidentiality**:
○ Adhere to data security policies and procedures to ensure confidential information is protected at all times.

○ Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality according to organizational guidelines.

**5. Team Collaboration**:
○ Collaborate with other departments or teams to obtain necessary information and resolve data-related issues.

○ Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.6. Process Improvement:
○ Identify opportunities for process improvement in data entry procedures and suggest solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

○ Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data entry tasks.
