**Role overview**:
A System Administrator skilled in system installation, configuration, and maintenance of client systems and networks. Proficient in technical support, troubleshooting complex IT issues, and providing client-focused solutions. Strong in documentation, decision-making, and flexible to work in rotational shifts.

**How you will create impact**:

- **System Installation & Configuration**: Install and configure client computer systems, including desktops, routers, modems, and related devices and perform routine inspections and maintenance of existing installations.
- **Technical Support & Troubleshooting**: Respond promptly to client IT support requests, both remotely and on-site. Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and networking issues effectively. Provide technical support through remote-access systems when required. Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software problems.
- **Maintenance & Upgrades**: Update computer operating systems and critical software as needed. Substantiate and process requests for hardware and software purchases or upgrades.
- **Client & Staff Support**: Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and timely support. Advise staff on appropriate procedures for handling IT-related queries and making recommendations. Provide guidance on necessary IT training for staff to improve system use and efficiency.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:Track, manage, and document support requests and work records accurately. Compile detailed job reports and document troubleshooting processes.
- **Decision Making & Recommendations**: Assess support requests and determine the most suitable solutions. Deliver IT assistance proactively or upon request, as deemed necessary.
- **Flexibility**: Willingness to work flexible hours, including rotational shifts.

**Essential qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA) / Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (B.Sc. CS) / Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc. IT) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)
- Proven experience as a System Administrator with strong skills in managing and maintaining server environments, network infrastructure, system security, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

**Nice to have**:

- **Scripting & Automation**: Knowledge of Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible for automation.
- **Containerization**: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- **Security Practices**: Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and system hardening techniques.
- **Backup & Recovery**: Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
- **Active Directory & LDAP**: Managing user accounts, permissions, and authentication systems.
- **Networking**: Strong grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network troubleshooting.
- **DevOps Practices**: Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- **Soft Skills**: Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and teamwork.
