The Associate is part of Ashland’s Treasury team and will primarily be responsible for Bank Reconciliation.

The main activities & objectives:

- Reconciliation of bank accounts for Ashland’s Asia, EMEA, North American and South American entities.
- Retrieval of electronic bank statement files from various bank websites and use of shared drives for statement upload and storage
- Accurate and timely loading and posting of electronic bank statement activity
- Manual bank statement entry and clearing
- Comparison of bank statement data to the general ledger, researching discrepancies and preparing correcting entries
- Following up on open items and preparation of weekly open item reports
- Handling bank statement requests or document entry support from various departments as well as internal and external audit groups

Your experience/education is:

- Internationally recognized degree
- At least 2 years of experience in treasury or accounting or banking
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Experience with SAP

Your skills and abilities are:

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products is required
- Customer and service-oriented attitude
- Team player
- Able to work independently, remotely and with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Able to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Eye for detail and accuracy
- Initiative
