**Your role**
- The role is within the Equity Operations function, working within the EMEA Cash Equity Controls team. The team's primary objective is to provide a control layer across various Cash Equity trading desks, with the aim of mitigating risk and maintaining transaction integrity. The role requires a good understanding of various equity markets. The team has daily interaction across a wide stakeholder base, partnering with Group Finance, Group Risk, Group Technology and other Operation utility service teams.

- We’re looking for a Middle Office Authorized Officer AO to:
- Along with being SME of the process and product, the individual would also manage a smaller team across Cash Equity Control
- Be responsible for a suite of controls, facilitating support aimed at mitigating risk and working with other MO functions to resolve escalated issues
- Be a backup to the AD within the process to chair and participate in FTB operating committees, production calls and forums to ensure dependencies to our processes are understood, our performance is assessed and key risk areas are managed in accordance with our risk appetite
- Ensure timely, and accurate, processing of reconciliation requests
- Interact and leverage relationships with other Operations teams such as Trade Support, Settlements, Finance, Reg Reporting, Market Risk, COO, Group Technology and Change
- Increase RFT (Right First Time) by continuously monitoring and improving the Systemic and Behavioral root causes across FO, IT, and Ops
- Increase STP (Straight through Processing) rate of all products by actively engaging IT and Ops Change teams
- Collate evidence and materials for various governance forums
- Collaborate with Group Technology and COO to identify strategic improvements to enhance the operational effectiveness of lifecycle processing
- Project work and UAT testing to improve the efficiency of day to day processes and enhance the control environment
- Completion of daily checklists and end of day shuttles to confirm completeness of key procedural controls

**Your expertise**
- 7+ years of experience in a similar equity operational risk and control function within a financial services background
- Experience in escalating issues promptly and taking ownership through to resolution
- Ability to collaborate across functions to deliver strategic projects and drive change.
- Great at problem analysis and resolution: identify and examine problems in order to understand them, generate options and recommend solutions which are logical, reasonable and realistic
- Experience in automating processes, or proficiency in programming and automation tools (VBA, Robotics, Alteryx) would be highly desirable
- Track record of managing individuals and taking responsibility for their output
