**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job responsibilities**
- Improve operational stability and availability through participation in problem management
- Monitor production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
- Assist in the escalation and communication of issues and solutions to the business and technology stakeholders

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
- Exposure to observability and monitoring tools and techniques
- Familiarity with processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- Experience on the TANDEM / HP NonStop platform (GUARDIAN / OSS, COBOL, C, C++,)
- Hands-on TANDEM/NonStop X Systems development; Using Tools and Languages TAL, TACL, Tandem COBOL, TANDEM C++, ENSCRIBE, ENFORM, TANDEM pathway, Tandem internal messaging system, FUP, BATCHCOM, SQLCI, Host security module, ISO8583 messaging
- Experience leveraging Geneos required with an analytical mindset to drive identification of patterns/trends which would predict problematic situations
- Proven experience in Problem Management, Change Management best practices.

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Knowledge of one or more general purpose programming languages or automation scripting
- A plus to have experience leveraging other monitoring tools such as Splunk, Netcool, Control M and Dynatrace with an analytical mindset to drive identification of patterns/trends which would predict problematic situations
- Production experience with SQL is preferred
- Domain knowledge or working experience in cards issuing and / or merchant acquiring would be a plus
