We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Associate on 3rd party payroll (Randstad) with 3-5 years of experience in the field of Public Health, Data Analysis, and Data Management. As an MEL Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and management of monitoring and evaluation activities within our organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the collection, analysis, and reporting of data to assess program effectiveness and inform decision-making processes.
- Specific responsibilities:_
- Design and develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks, plans, and indicators to track program progress and outcomes in the field of public health.
- Support the implementation of data collection methods and tools, ensuring quality and accuracy of data.
- Conduct data analysis and interpretation using statistical software and other relevant tools to identify trends, patterns, and key findings.
- Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and security.
- Provide technical assistance and capacity building to staff and partners in data management, monitoring, and evaluation methodologies.
- Contribute to the development of data visualization tools, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate program results to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate data collection efforts and ensure data sharing and transparency.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites to ensure data quality, troubleshoot issues, and provide support as needed.
- Assist in the development and review of program documentation, including reports, briefs, and case studies.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, and public health.
- Qualifications:_
- Master’s degree in public health, Epidemiology, Statistics, or a related field.
- Skills/Knowledge:_
- 3-5 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, and data management in the field of public health.
- Strong skills in developing and utilizing M&E plans, M&E frameworks, results frameworks, logical frameworks, developing data collection tools, Theory of Change, developing research concept notes, or similar tools for project design, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, including data collection techniques, data quality assurance, and analysis.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, or R, and experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience in managing and analyzing large datasets, including data cleaning, transformation, and interpretation.
- Familiarity with public health programs and indicators, such as reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, or infectious diseases.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw insights from complex data sets.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
