Join us as a “Associate" where the Global Lending Group (“GLG”) Americas provides memo coordination, grid review, structuring, negotiation and execution resource across all aspects of the Lending product within Barclays International, leveraging industry sector focus to drive best in class client service, as well as achieve economies of scale by providing agile resource allocation. To be successful as a “Associate” Primary responsibility will concentrate on timely and accurate completion of both Key Credit Protection (“KCP”) and a Minimum Underwriting Standards (“MUS”) template across sectors. Over time, the role will expand to other loan documentation and structuring activities. Both templates are created online via the internal loan origination portal and used for ongoing credit risk management and may be submitted to regulators in the US as part of the Shared National Credit (“SNC”) loan review program conducted by the Office of the Comptroller of Currency (“OCC”) You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as experience with Global Markets, as well as job-specific skillsets. **Basic/ Essential Qualifications**: - Completing the Minimum Underwriting Standards (“MUS”) and Key Credit Protections (“KCPs”) templates for transactions across industry sectors required under the Leveraged Lending Guidelines. - Assist on Material Amendments by driving the timely MUS completion in partnership with Risk. - Working with product verticals and GLG captains on remediation of historic KCP and MUS on an as needed basis. - Working closely with GLG on SNC related queries raised by Risk. - Working closely with GLG personnel in Houston regarding the Reserve Base Lending (“RBL”) portfolio on MUS and KCP. - Working closing with GLG and the relevant deal team to pull together the Closing Memo. **Desirable skillsets/ good to have**: - Undergraduate degree. - Working knowledge of or experience in the Loan business, particular focus on credit analysis and credit agreement documentation. - Experience in corporate banking, investment banking, portfolio management and/or credit risk. - Strong written and oral communication skills. - Focus on attention to details. - Self-starter and driven to succeed. - Fundamental credit skills. - Experience in the lending process and ability to network effectively and maintain/develop relationships with all stakeholders. This role will be based out of Candor TechSpace, Noida. **Purpose of the role** To support with the management of the relationship lending portfolio for the Investment Bank (IB) with the primary goal of maximizing the return on equity of the loan portfolio and associated business cases. **Accountabilities** - Work in partnership with Banking and Markets to evaluate needs of our corporate clients, whilst ensuring optimal value generation for our shareholders.. - Manage/support with managing one or more portfolios of loan exposures within designated markets/industries, including acting as gatekeeper and voting member within the firm's capital commitment process.. - Perform primary diligence and assist in structuring/negotiating terms for new capital commitments.. - Monitor credits on an ongoing basis and structure/approve amendments. - Manage loan sale and CDS hedging trade recommendations.. **Assistant Vice President Expectations** - To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
