**Data Engineer - Data Stage Expert (Offshore - Chennai)**

**Key Responsibilities**:
Design, develop, and maintain **ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)** workflows using IBM Datastage and/or Talend.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data integration solutions.

Optimize ETL job performance and troubleshoot issues in data pipelines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, consistency, and a seamless data flow.

Perform data profiling, cleansing, and transformation tasks.

Implement best practices for data integration, security, and governance.

Monitor and maintain ETL jobs to ensure timely data availability.

Create and maintain technical documentation for all processes and provide support for production deployments.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven, hands-on experience in **ETL development** using **IBM Datastage** and/or **Talend**.

Strong understanding of **data warehousing concepts**, data modeling, and ETL architecture.

Proficiency in **SQL** and experience working with relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.

Experience with data quality, data profiling, and metadata management.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
