**What You’ll Do**

The global initiatives we’re driving to transform the content experience present a host of exciting opportunities for content professionals. As a Content Strategist at Cisco, the job requires you to:

- Provide expert advice and counsel to management, influencing the strategic direction of Tech Docs
- Drive Tech Doc objectives and alignment with stakeholder groups (Cisco Tech Docs, IT, CX)
- Engage with stakeholders to deliver complex, business-critical, end-to-end content solutions for open-source projects, developer content, Cloud products, etc.
- Develop outcome-based content models to help customers achieve their goals in the most efficient manner.
- Assess industry trends, business goals, user needs, content requirements, and content sources to make content decisions.
- Pivot our content from being overtly technology-focused to one that is geared for customer-success
- Implement strong search engine optimization (SEO) practices, interpret user research and site analytics, and conduct audits to inform content needs and develop recommendations based on organizational goals and user needs
- Identify and execute automation opportunities

**What You Should Have**
- 5+ years of experience in a content strategy or related role and 5+ years working in technical communications as a writer or other related role.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, online analytics, or a related field.
- Ability to think broadly and strategically about content and how it can radically improve the digital experience for our customers
- Exceptional people skills—helpful, respectful, approachable, team-oriented
- Portfolio of work that demonstrates content that simplifies the overall product and content experience.
- Exceptional communication and planning skills.
- Analytical mind to review vast data, spot patterns-trends, and draw conclusions.
- Knowledge of A/B testing and measuring content performance
- Familiarity with the use of taxonomy for content management
- Ability to quickly come up to speed with the product, technology, and tooling nuances
- A strong impact in the Tech Comm. industry through paper presentations and participation in community events and conferences.
