Job Title:National Head – Sales (Food and Staples Division)Location:ChennaiAbout the Company:Our client is a reputed and diversified FMCG organization with a strong presence in the food products segment. With an established legacy and professional management, the company is on an ambitious growth trajectory, strengthening its national footprint across both modern trade and general trade channels.Role Overview:The National Sales Head will lead the company’s food business across India, driving revenue growth, distribution expansion, and strategic sales execution across multiple channels. This is a senior leadership role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.Key Responsibilities:· Lead and manage national sales operations for the food division.· Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue and distribution targets.· Strengthen presence in both modern trade and general trade, with a strong focus on southern markets.· Drive e-commerce channel development and key account management.· Build, mentor, and lead a large sales team to ensure strong market execution and performance.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, supply chain, and finance to achieve business goals.· Manage a balanced product portfolio across packaged and staple food categories.· Ensure strong trade relationships and effective channel management nationwide.Ideal Candidate Profile:· Experience: 15–22 years in FMCG / Food / Beverage sectors.· Age Range: 40–45 years preferred.· Proven experience handling large-scale P&L and national-level sales responsibilities.· Strong track record in distribution expansion and team leadership.· Hands-on exposure to modern trade, general trade, and e-commerce channels.· Prior experience in reputed FMCG organizations with strong systems and brand pedigree.· Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
