Headquartered in Mumbai, India, MRK has manufacturing facilities in four locations in Western India and employs over 1600 people. Over 100 million medical devices bearing the MRK mark are sold every year.
Job Description - Product Manager
- Responsible for planning and executing Marketing strategies for 3 business verticals of MRK – Domestic Trade, Export and Domestic Institutions (Tender and Pharma).
- Preparation of Annual Marketing calendar. Ensure execution on a quarterly basis and give report to management.
- Preparation of Annual Marketing budgets for the 3 business verticals. Ensure execution/compliance on a quarterly basis and give report to management.
- Plan, design, launch and track quarterly product campaigns.
- Plan and execute new product launch plan.
- Plan and execute MRK’s corporate branding strategies.
- Design marketing collaterals in both Digital and physical world.
- Responsible for ensuring optimum inventory planning. Stocks should be within the company guidelines with no stock outs of any SKU. To co-ordinate with Purchase, Planning and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth inventory management.
- Plan and execute company’s Digital and Social Media Strategy. This would also include the existing website.
- Responsible for effective participation in various trade conferences.
- Responsible for product training and ensuring that sales team are well equipped to promote the company products.
- Work closely with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure that product registrations and complaints are solved urgently.
- Responsible for monthly competitive analysis (internal team as well as through external sources).
- Reporting to the Vice President - Strategy and Business Development with a dotted line reporting to the Vice President - Exports.
Skills & Knowledge
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors, preferably in Marketing & Business Studies
Functional Skills
- Demonstrates skills, knowledge and experience in marketing and communications.
- Possess strong analytical/logical thinking skills, is process driven and has clarity of thought.
- Proficient in MS Word, Power Point and Advance Excel (especially Pivot Tables).
- Demonstrates innovative and creative thinking.
Behavioural Skills
- Communication - Impeccable oral and written skills.
- Effective people management skills.
- Relationship management skills.
Relevant (functional/Level) and total years of experience
- 2 - 3 years of experience of working in marketing, preferably in Healthcare or Pharma domain.
- Prior sales experience in Healthcare or Pharma domain would be preferred.

- Needs to have a pleasant personality & be polite in behaviour and interactions with stakeholders.
- Comfortable to work across businesses, geographies and projects in a deadline driven, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel for 1 week in a month.
- Comfortable working late hours or long hours, when required.
- Is a team player and has a strong desire and ability to learn.
