Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with over 7 years of experience in the Data and Analytics domain, particularly within the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Migration, Data Modelling, Data Transformation, and other key areas such as Business Analysis, Project Management, SQL Development, Business Intelligence, Data Quality, Data Extraction, ETL, and Data Warehousing.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end data migration projects, including understanding business requirements, developing migration strategies, and executing migration plans.
Develop and maintain data models to support various business needs.
Design and implement data transformation processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements.
Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Utilize Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Cosmos Gremlin database for data processing and storage.
Ensure data quality and resolve data issues using tools such as Databricks, SQL, Pyspark, and Python.
Maintain build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps.
Perform data analysis and deliver data insights to stakeholders.
Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools like Informatica Powercenter.
Generate operational reports using OBIEE and other reporting tools.
Key Projects:
Data Migration Project for Dutch Banking Client:
Led the migration from Siebel CRM to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Developed reusable batch pipelines using Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and ADLS.
Planned and executed the migration in phases, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption.
Managed end-to-end project delivery, from business requirements to resolution of Service Now tickets.
Customer 360 Project for Dutch Banking Client:
Developed the backend system using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Cosmos Gremlin database.
Created a graphical representation of customer data to enhance customer service.
Performed data analysis and resolved data quality issues.
Delivered data extraction and delivery according to client requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Extensive experience in data engineering, with a focus on data migration, modelling, and transformation.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, Pyspark, and other relevant technologies.
Strong understanding of Azure services, including Databricks, Data Factory, and Cosmos DB.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Informatica Powercenter and OBIEE.
Familiarity with Oracle Database and Data Warehousing concepts.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
