Designation: Senior Associate - Corporate and Litigation Location: Pune CTC: Best in the market Experience: 5-6 years Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate for our Litigation team. The ideal candidate will possess 4-5 years of post-qualification experience (POE) with significant exposure to general civil and commercial litigation. This role requires proficiency in drafting legal pleadings, especially evidentiary documents, and experience in handling trials in civil courts as well as arbitration matters. The candidate should also have demonstrable experience in handling matters before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), specifically under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), and be confident in court appearances and tribunal proceedings. Key Responsibilities : ● Litigation Management: Handle a broad spectrum of general civil and commercial litigation cases, managing end-to-end processes. ● Drafting Pleadings : Prepare, review, and draft various pleadings, with a strong emphasis on evidentiary documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards. ● Trial Handling: Actively manage and conduct trials in civil courts and arbitration settings, ensuring that all legal processes and protocols are followed meticulously. ● NCLT Matters: Represent clients in matters before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), with a focus on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) cases. ● Court Appearances: Confidently appear before various courts, tribunals, and judicial bodies, effectively presenting cases and making strong legal arguments. ● Client Relations: Communicate with clients, providing legal advice, updates, and strategies related to their litigation cases. ● Legal Research: Stay updated on relevant case laws, amendments, and judicial precedents to support legal proceedings. Qualifications & Skills: ● LL. B. from a recognized law school with a valid Bar Council registration. ● 5 years of post-qualification experience in civil and commercial litigation. ● Proven ability to handle trials and arbitrations independently. ● Extensive experience with drafting pleadings, particularly evidence. ● Experience with NCLT matters, especially under IBC. ● Strong courtroom presence and ability to argue confidently before courts and tribunals. ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ● Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
