Azure DevOps engineer - Bicep and Terraform
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Engineer with a strong background in implementing infrastructure solutions using Bicep and Terraform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure resources from the ground up, utilizing these IaC tools. This role requires a proactive approach to building robust and scalable cloud infrastructures, ensuring high availability and security.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement Azure infrastructure solutions using Bicep and Terraform.
• Develop and manage IaC templates to provision and configure Azure resources.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate IaC into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure best practices for IaC are followed to maintain infrastructure reliability and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IaC deployments and Azure infrastructure.
• Document processes and configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity.
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing IaC implementations to enhance efficiency and performance.
Required Qualifications:
• 5-9 years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on Azure.
• Proven hands-on experience with Bicep and Terraform for implementing Azure resources.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and their integration with IaC tools.
• Experience in developing and managing Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates is a plus.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure, and networking concepts.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications in Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with other IaC tools and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
