A rapidly growing team of 130 members in tech + product with the finest folks in the industry An opportunity to craft products that influence education at the grassroots level to improve the lives of millions of students in the far-flung corners of India We are bootstrapping our IT Risk & Compliance team and looking for an individual who drives efforts to comply with IT Audit and Data Privacy regulations. This role includes the review of policies/procedures implemented by the Engineering teams and providing recommendations with regards to IT and Data Privacy controls based on the industry best practices. You will foster an Information Security and data protection culture within the company and help to assess IT audit controls (including SAP), assist in implementing controls for achieving data privacy compliance, conducting risk assessments for a variety of Information Assets and collaborating in risk treatment decisions. You will assist in reviewing Information Security policies and creating a training program to maintain data protection awareness across the organization. You will also be responsible for maintaining an IT Risk Register and collaborate with stakeholders for risk management and leverage your knowledge of today's ever-changing cybersecurity and risk landscape to influence IT operations across the organization. Who you are: 4 - 6 years experienced individual with a good working knowledge and auditing experience in IT General Controls and ERP (SAP) controls Assessing IT control elements and determining if controls are designed and operating effectively to mitigate financial and business risks Assessing risk and compliance status against Information Security policies and proposing controls for risk remediation and tracking the implementation status of controls Knowledge and experience in privacy and data security laws and regulations, including GDPR, COPPA, CCPA and PDPB is desirable Experience of promoting a data privacy culture of awareness, developing and assessing privacy policies and controls that minimize risk and ensure compliance Reviewing data privacy controls and results with Engineering and Legal teams Using project management techniques for planning, anticipating roadblocks and stakeholder communication Performing follow-up activities to test the implementation of responses for the identified risks and tracking them until mitigation based on the agreed timelines Familiar with industry standards related to IT and Cloud Controls – ISO 27001, CSA (CCM-CAIQ), NIST 800-53 Professional security certifications, such as CISA, CRISC, CDPSE, CIPP are desired (not mandatory) Experience with a large company and/or BIG 4 accounting firm is a plus
