Job Description:
Position: Chef - NPD
Principal Accountability:
This position based at Agrostarc Innovation Centre (AIC), Andheri (Mumbai) will play important role in Innovation & New Product Development of Agrostarc Products.
Job Description:
- Creation of new recipes on a regular basis understanding the demand side of the consumers and taste habits
- Creating new and innovative recipes with new and existing products
- Innovation and proper work through concept and SOP for customer
- Responsible for day to day smooth operation of Application and Product development, maintaining food cost, branding and presentation of product with good hygiene and innovative standard
- Work on new standard recipe, innovative ideas and maintain all HACCP standard with good working atmosphere ensuring brand standard and food cost are in place together with all policy and procedure
- Constant testing and market study of competition in the business
- To ensure that food safety and quality standards are designed into products in conformance with FSSAI and other Indian regulations
- To assist the Quality Control team at the plant with the food safety audit (internal and external
- To support plant trials and product commercialization
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Expertise in Indian gravies, Sauces and Pastes
- Specializiation in Indian, Asian, Italian and Western cuisine.
- New Product Development & Execution (RTE/RTC) Experience
- Culinary Expertise (Food Trends)
- Understanding of Customer requirements & Market Trends for HoReCa, B2B (Institutional) Customers.
Qualification & Experience Requirement :
- Graduate/Diploma in Hotel Management/Hospitality Management / Catering Technology/ Food Science & Technology
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in hospitality industry including hotels, restaurants, RTE/RTC and packed foods companies.
