Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Graphic Designer & Data Visualiser to join our team. This individual will play a key role in transforming complex data and information into compelling visual content that communicates key messages effectively. The ideal candidate will combine strong design sensibilities with a deep understanding of data visualization principles to produce clear, engaging, and impactful graphics for various platforms, including reports, presentations, and digital content.
Responsibilities:
Design and produce visually appealing graphics and layouts for various media (digital, print, presentations, and social media).
Create innovative and effective data visualizations, infographics, and charts to help communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (communications, marketing, and program) to understand project goals and deliver designs that align with brand guidelines and objectives.
Design and update reports, presentations, and visual assets that present data-driven insights to both internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure all visuals are consistent with brand identity and messaging across all platforms.
Produce high-quality work under tight deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Stay current with design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data visualization to continuously improve design output.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating design and data visualization expertise.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) and other design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
Proficiency in data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel, and experience in creating custom charts and visualizations.
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
Ability to transform complex data into clear, visually engaging infographics and reports.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to create polished and professional designs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to handle feedback constructively and work in a fast-paced environment.
A degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field is preferred.
Preferred :
Experience working in a consultancy, government, or development sector.
Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing tools (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro) for dynamic presentations and social media content.
