About the Role:


We are looking for a Data Science Leader who will be a player-coach with ability to “make the complex simple” for a highly skilled team of data scientists and ML engineers. He/ She will work collaboratively with business units and product management function to provide research, development, production support for creating differentiated market offerings, accelerating new solution development, and go-to-market, etc. He/ She will develop and implement a robust strategy for building deep data science capabilities with reliable team of experts, support roles, partnerships, and tools, etc. to deliver complex analytics and AI/ML projects.


About the Candidate:


The ideal candidate must be proficient in advanced analytics, AI/ML including GenAI, data mining, and modelling techniques, etc. Additionally, they should have programming skills and a strong grasp of theoretical and mathematical concepts for practical business applications within the healthcare and life sciences sectors. A passion for addressing significant challenges that aid our healthcare and pharmaceutical clients in attaining exceptional business outcomes is essential. The candidate will also contribute intellectually to the broader industry through presentations and publications. Furthermore, they must be keenly aware of the current data science landscape and uphold high ethical standards in the operationalisation of data and AI.


Importantly, the candidate must have experience in algorithmically improving and customizing multi-agent LLM frameworks (such as Microsoft Autogen) for unique healthcare-related workflows, Standard operating Procedures (SoPs), and other specific requirements.


Education:


Must have a Masters (Ph.D. is desirable) in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or any other closely related field.


Experience:


Must have 15-18 years of experience in software engineering with at least 10-12 years of highly relevant data science and AI/ML experience (any experience of applied research will be extremely valuable for the role). Prior experience in Pharma/ Healthcare domain is preferred.


Must have skills:


• Must demonstrate experience and skill in adding advanced features, such as teachability, memory recall, function calling, communication, collaboration, and workflow management, etc. to agents in a multi-agent system. The candidate should be knowledgeable about techniques that endow agents with human-like learning and reasoning capabilities, as well as the agility to adapt to new circumstances. Additionally, the candidate must have experience translating other advance AGI methods and approaches from academic and research papers into code and practical applications. • In this role expertise in data chunking and both sparse and dense searching methods is crucial for building efficient RAG pipelines to improve the performance of LLMs in healthcare applications. Candidates must be capable of employing innovative techniques such as Tree-of-Thought (ToT), Chain-of-Thought (CoT) and other prompting, chunking, and conditioning on local similarity, as well as dialogue resolution. Additionally, an ideal candidate should be skilled in developing frameworks for assessing LLM output using human or AI expert feedback (RLHF/RLAIF) and quantitative metrics.

• Additionally, it is important that the person has ability in traditional and advance analytics, machine learning, deep learning, statistical methods, classical algorithms, etc. in areas of forecasting, prediction, attribution, recommendation, user experience measurements, journey orchestration and personalization, etc.

• He/ She should be able to create fundamental representation of the problem and design suitable experimental methodologies including algorithm selection, data/sample size estimates, training process design, testing and performance metrics, privacy safeguards, etc.

• Should be conversant in applying different optimization techniques including data mining, and other data driven optimization.

• Expertise in implementing MLOps for automation (CI/CD/CT) and streamlining of ML workflows for deployment, monitoring and management of ML models in production at scale.
