Role:
General Manager (General Ledger & Audits)
Purpose of the Job:
To oversee and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance in adherence to Ind AS, manage end-to-end accounting operations, audits, and internal controls, while driving process improvements, supporting investor relations, and providing strategic financial insights to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and submit periodic results per Ind AS.
- Oversee all technical accounting and GL activities, ensuring accuracy in monthly close processes, including reconciliation of balance sheets, cash flow, and P&L accounts, along with maintaining necessary backups.
- Manage statutory, internal, and external departmental audits, as well as due diligence activities.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to internal control frameworks across the organization.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in sub-function areas , including revenue and COGS accounting, accounts receivable, payables, fixed assets, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, such as the Companies Act and MCA.
- Prepare and present investor reports and support lender communications.
- Develop and implement financial processes and SOPs.
- Conduct variance analysis of periodic accounts with AOP and budgets, identifying deviations and providing explanations and recommendations.
- Exhibit strong business partnering and project management skills.
- Lead automation and process simplification initiatives to enhance efficiency.
Ideal Experience Profile:
- Chartered Accountant with minimum 6 years of experience (preference to first or second attempt pass-outs).
- Minimum 2 years of experience or articleship with any of the BIG 4 accounting firms.
- Strong knowledge of SAP.
- Experience in a similar role within a mid to large sized organization.
